Being a church musician is the only reason my musical abilities have grown during my adult years.

Being a mother of a large family places heavy demands on my time, and music usually falls near the end.

The perfectionist inside me has had to learn how to feel comfortable with a less than “prepared” feeling,

and as a result by necessity, my improvisation and sight reading abilities have greatly improved!

“God gave you talents as a gift. Praise God by using your gifts well.”

Playing for mass pleases the Lord, unites the community and gives us purpose.

I often wonder why more people don’t participate as musicians.

I endeavor to build up future musicians who will carry on this beautiful form of prayer.
